Why not treat your self to a day out to the Isle Of Wight using the Hover Craft which runs from Southsea or the Ferry from Portsmouth Harbour. Winchester is only a short drive across the lovely South Downs.

Highdown is also a very handy base from which to explore the beautiful New Forest including Sammy Millers Motor Bike Museum and Farm Trust with a tea room Craft Shops etc.

The lovely village of Wickham is close by with its' 13th century square housing shops, pubs, wine bars and restaurants. New Place Training Centre is only a short walk away along a pretty country lane.
